Soon, the most important people in our industry will be those who can master multiple systems and provide a single solution to the end-user.” The C-ESTTM credential requires at least 4,000 hours, or 2 years, industry work experience and an understanding of systems components. This understanding may be gauged by NSCA’s quick, online assessment test and if needed, increased, through the C-EST™ Prep Course. The C-EST™ is the foundation for the more advanced Registered Electronic Systems Integrator, R-ESITM, designation that requires a combination of 8,000 hours of work experience and 120 hours of systems training. The first R-ESI credential will be available in the spring of 2005. “C-ESTs are paving the way for the future of the systems integration industry,” noted Wilson. “This program will build the next generation of systems integrator and elevate the EST occupation to a new level.”
